There are essentially two licenses that govern all of the code and content to be found on Sapodesk, including all code and content contributed by members of the Sapodesk community:
1) All development code (both source and object) and related documentation are licensed under the Affero General Public License or AGPL. The AGPL is almost exactly the same as the GPLv.2 except for one provision, Sec. 2(d), which relates to software deployed over a computer network. The AGPL is therefore more appropriate for the development of web applications.
Note: As many of you may know, the AGPL (currently v.1), like the GPLv.2 on which it is based, is currently undergoing revision. It is likely that a new, official version of the AGPL (and the GPL) will be released soon. We will amend our licenses accordingly if/when appropriate.
2) All artwork, graphic designs and icons as well as end user documentation such as the FAQ and other end user guides and manuals are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License.
